Instagram Pier takes its name from Hong Kong & Instagram history: at the very beginning of Instagram, most users of the famous social network were located in America and HK, and HK people started to use this pier as a spot for selfies.
Though you can still find the place on Google or Apple Maps searching for "Instagram Pier Hong Kong", it's now closed to public access upon sad decision of HK government.
Instagram was one of my favorite place in HK.
